Escape Game Box is written by a small independent editorial team. We research tabletop mystery games, murder mystery party kits and at-home escape rooms, and we explain how they work, who they suit and how to choose between them. We are not professional game designers, and we do not claim to have played every game we cover.
How we work
Every page starts from a precise question and answers it in the first lines. We compare games on facts anyone can check: player count, playing time, difficulty, replayability, age rating and what comes in the box. Our sources are publishers’ product pages, rulebooks, official FAQs and published player feedback, and every figure we quote is attributed to its source with a link. When a recommendation is based on research rather than play, the page says so: every piece displays its level of evidence.
What we do not cover
We write about deduction, investigation and puzzles, never about graphic violence. We do not recommend drinking games or alcohol pairings, and we do not make claims about health or wellbeing benefits of games.
Independence
The site is funded by affiliate links, disclosed on every page that contains them. Commissions never decide which games we cover or how we rank them: a comparison starts from stated criteria, not from merchants.
